Eat me meet me

In this performance a dress sewn of dried fruit pulp or “pistil” is worn on the naked body and offered to the audience to be eaten. The pistil used to sew the dress is a traditional fruit-based dessert. It is obtained by crushing fruits including apricots, plums, grapes and berries into a pulp, which is then spread thinly on a cotton cloth to be dried. The center of interest in this performance is the other’s body and explores possibilities for shared experiences by removing boundaries and entering into a spoken and/or acted dialogue.
